Seasonal Clothes Volunteers

Job Overview:
Set up and arrange the Seasonal Clothing section in order by size and type of item. Maintain racks to promote shopping. Assist shoppers
to find what they need.
Job Details:
* Attend area team meeting(s) and/or find Area Leader for direction after check in
If working Friday:
* Arrange clothing according to Area Leader’s directions
* Hang signs and arrange racks according to size
* Place items that are worn, torn, stained, broken, etc. in the reject box for your Area Leader to sort through. Keep our standards high!
If working Saturday:
* Keep aisles clear; racks straight, neat and in order
* Combine racks and move empty racks out of the way as necessary.
* Do not leave your section without letting your Area Leader know where to find you. Someone should always be in your section to assist shoppers.
* Toward the end of the sale (usually last 30 minutes of sale), sort clothes in the section according to seller number – Storage team will assist.
If someone is shopping in the area you are working on, go to another area so they can shop and then return. It’s important to flip the signs
at the front of the rack or indicate with a tied ribbon so that sellers know a rack has been sorted and completed
Cleanup
* When asked, bring your numbered bin out and place in order
* Place empty racks in the correct order by seller number
* Deliver unsold items to sellers’ bins/racks. Keep an eye out for clothes or other items on the wrong racks or the wrong bins to help
eliminate missing items
* Begin disassembling Club racks to be ready to go to the truck
* Wait for Roll-call before leaving
Area Leader – Same as team members PLUS:
* Must work the whole sale (Friday & all day Saturday.)
* Must arrive on time for beginning of Set Up.
* Review the duties of the team members with them during area team meetings
On Friday, supervise team members during set up to ensure quality and arrange layette
* Have team members hang signs and arrange racks according to size
* Designate a box to place items that are worn, torn, stained, broken, etc.
* At the end of set up, go through the box to reevaluate items before you take them to the designated reject location. Keep our standard high!
* Have team watch for pre-shoppers during setup and remind the pre-shopper that this is not allowed. If a seller continues to pre-shop, please
notify a Sale Coordinator.
* Return on Saturday by roll call.
During the sale:
* Supervise your team to encourage them to stay on task. If they are not, kindly find them something to do if possible
* Make sure there is always someone in your section to help shoppers and keep things in order. If you are leaving your section for a break,
lunch, etc, please let your Team Members know where to find you. Someone should always be in your section to assist shoppers.
* Toward the end of the sale (usually last 30 minutes of sale), supervise your team as you sort clothes in the Girls’ Clothing section
according to seller number.
How Seasonal Clothing is arranged:
1. Boy/Girl matching;
2. Boy/Girl matching Holiday;
3. Individual Boy or Girl Holiday (Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc...);
4. Coats/Jackets (Fall/Winter sale);
5. Christening outfits,
6. Bathing suits and Windbreaker Jackets (Spring/Summer sale)
7. Maternity.
a. (Small maternity items (i.e. nursing bras) will be placed in baskets next to the racks.)
* We would also include Pageant or Wedding attire.
* If we happen to have Sibling matching (Older/Younger) or Mother/Daughter (Family) we also include this in Seasonal.
Note: Boy/Boy and Girl/Girl matching are included in the Boys and Girls sections and are placed at the front of the rack.
