Holding Area

Job Description: This person will coordinate with the security team to organize a holding area for large equipment purchased at the sale.  Buyers can purchase a large item, go through checkout and security, then place the item in the holding area while they continue shopping.  Only purchased items can be held in the holding  area! Friday: -Help set up of holding area.  Designate a large open area in the lobby to be used for holding and block off sides with furniture. -Become familiar with the tagging system for held items and discuss process with security workers.  (Items receive a unique number and the number is written on the back of the count slip.  The number on the buyer's count slip and number on the item must match for the item to be picked up). -After holding area is set up, assist set up where needed to elsewhere in the sale. Saturday: -Return by roll call. -Implement holding area protocol. -Stay on task and alert.  Be sure that the holding area is never left unattended (notify a member of the sale team or security when breaks are needed so they can provide coverage). -If holding area is unused near end of the sale, help work or break down sale in an area of need. -Remain at  the sale until the final roll call.
